Handcrafted Silver Plated Vajrasattva Copper Sculpture
We have uniquely sculpted this captivating Vajrasattva Copper sculpture using the talents that have been handed down through the ages. Molded from a copper body, gilded with 24k genuine gold and finely painted with acrylic paint. Silver plating highlights the intricate design patterns of the statue. The god is seen in the statue sitting calmly on a lotus seat with his legs crossed and holding a vajra and a bell in his right and left hands, respectively. It took us months of work to hand-crave the crown and other ornaments.

Vajrasattva is the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
