Green Tara who vowed to attain enlightenment in a female body is one of the most sought bodhisattvas amongst the Vajrayana practitioners. She is portrayed as sitting upon a lotus moon shaped disc with her right foot facing outwards resting upon a blooming lotus, while her left hand making the surya ravi mudra which symbolizes energy and health providing a feeling of balance and the other rests on her left knee making a chin mudra.
