Beautifully Carved Pure Life Deity Vajrasattva Statue | Embodiment of Compassionate Buddha
Handcrafted in Patan by talented artisans, this Pure Life Deity Vajrasattva Statue is a testament to Nepal's rich metalworking legacy. Reflecting the role of the deity in illuminating the road to spiritual enlightenment, the statue's bright triple layer 24K gold gilding, deeply engraved 3D-like carvings increase its divine presence. Every element of the elaborate gold and acrylic paintings, from the bell and vajra symbolism to the calm countenance of Vajrasattva, embodies his sacred mission.
The deity is depicted seated on the top of a moon disc lotus seat, having a serene facial expression. He is holding an upright vajra with his right hand and a bell on his left. It took us months of hard work to carve the copper body and adorn it with precious corals and gems. This statue would be a perfect shrine for your meditation practice as a gift from Nepal.

Vajrasattva is typically regarded as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
