Traditional Himalayan Nepali Princess Tara Gold Statue
We created the magnificent Nepali Princess Tara Gold Statue using traditional Himalayan methods. The deity is perched atop a moon-shaped lotus seat. She is depicted in the statue holding an utpala stem with both hands while doing the vitarka and varada mudras with her right and left hands, respectively. She has a serene facial expression. Valuable turquoise and corals have been used to embellish the deity's crown, halo, and various body adornments. Copper was used to molding the figure. It has been intricately hand-carved with creative patterns. It is afterward gilded with real 24K gold. We combined a variety of acrylic paints to capture the actual spirit of the deity. Both utpalas have a mix of several color schemes. We worked hard for several months to finish the figure. The elaborate design patterns were hand-carved using a hammer and tiny chisels. Artists must have years of skill since delicate carvings require them to carve out elaborate designs on a small surface.
