24K Vajrasattva Primordial Purity "The Buddha Transformation"
The magnificent Primordial Purity Buddha Vajrasattva statue is a breathtaking triple layer 24K gold-gilded masterwork with deeply engraved 3D-like carvings that reflects the profound purity and transformational power of Vajrasattva, the Buddha of Purification in Tibetan Buddhism. With a height of 18.7" (47.5 cm) and a base width of 14" (35.5 cm), this beautifully carved statue weighs 7.37 kg and would make an impressive addition to any sacred area.
The Great Purifier, Vajrasattva(Dorje Sempa), is shown holding a bell in his left hand at his hip and a Vajra in his right hand at his chest in the statue. The bell represents wisdom, whereas the vajra represents compassion. He sits peacefully, legs crossed, atop a lotus seat on a moon disc. The lotus seat means how he remained in this impure cycle of samsara to benefit sentient beings while remaining unaffected by its flaws.

Vajrasattva is typically regarded as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
