Buddhist Hand-craved Healing Buddha, Medicine Buddha Statue
Medicine Buddha is also known and emerges as a healing buddha in Buddhism. Our artists worked diligently to ensure that the intricate details of the statue were accurately represented in this beautiful buddha sculpture, which took months to develop. This statue was made of copper and gilded in 24k gold by Nepali artists in Kathmandu, Nepal. He depicted seated on a moon disc lotus on Dhyana Aasana. He is seated comfortably in the lotus petal pedestal with his legs crossed in mediation posture. The left hand is shown with the palm up, symbolizing meditative stability. His right hand holds the stem of the Aruna fruit, also known as Myrobalan, between his thumb and forefinger, which is resting on his right knee.
