He holds a sword atop a lotus on his right shoulder and his left Prajnaparamita book atop a lotus flower on his left shoulder. His eyes are half-open with a kind expression. He is adorned with a beautifully hand-carved crown, jewels, and garments. In Buddhism, Manjushri is a Bodhisattva. He is known as the Wisdom Buddha. In Sanskrit, his name means "Gentle Glory." We Tibetans refer to him as Jamphel Yang. He is the embodiment of Prajna Wisdom. As a result, he frequently appears in Prajna classics. Many legends claim that he is the master of seven Buddhas and all of Buddha's mothers. Prajna Wisdom is supposed to be the teacher and mother of all buddhas. According to the Lord Buddha, Manjushri was his teacher in a previous incarnation.
