Traditionally Hand Crafted Lapis Lazuli Medicine Buddha Sculpture
We sculpted the Lapis Lazuli Medicine Buddha Statue in a copper body and gilded it with 24k genuine gold over the body of the statue which took months to bring this beautiful statue to life. The deity is depicted seated upon a moon disc with a peaceful expression. With his right hand in an earth-touching mudra, he is clutching the myrobalan plant, which is considered to be "excellent medicine," while carrying an alms dish full of long-life nectar in his left hand.

Medicine Buddha, also known as Bhaishajyaguru in Sanskrit, is regarded as the Buddha of Healing. His teachings aim to free sentient beings from sickness, pain, anguish, and unhappiness while also emphasizing the need to acquire prosperity and enjoyment in this life. Many meditators in the Mahayana tradition admire his healing abilities. He is frequently shown with a blue (lapis lazuli) body and hands carrying a begging bowl and medical herbs.
