Traditional Hand-Carved Green Tara Statue for Meditation and Ritual
This exquisite piece of Shyamatara statue employs classic Himalayan motifs and designs delicately made in our studio. The goddess is shown sitting serenely atop a moon disc lotus seat which is exquisitely embellished with intricate details. Her right hand is making the 'Varada mudra,' the gesture of offering sanctuary, and her left hand is making the 'Prithvi Mudra,' which represents the union of wisdom and compassion. Carved out of copper, the statue was gilded in genuine 24K gold for the sheen and highlighted with acrylic colors. This statue's beautiful detailing and gold gilding are sure to capture the eye and add a sense of peace and tranquility to any setting.

Tara is the savior, the personification of compassion, the one who reaches out and freely replies to everyone who is suffering. Tara is courageous and generous to a fault. Green Tara and White Tara are her most popular incarnations, though she occasionally appears as Red Tara in Dakini form. "Om tare tuttare ture svaha," says Green Tara. White Tara's mantra is "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha," which means "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha."
