This is the sculpture of Green Tara also known as Buddhist Mother Deity. Her face is completely gilded in gold and emanates complete tranquility and serenity. Her exquisitely sculpted eyes stare towards eternity. She is entirely gold-plated and carved with exquisite designs and motifs in the Himalayan Art form. The combination of valuable stones and corals has given this statue an incredibly attractive contrast. The crown and lotus seat, which are embellished with magnificent gems and ornaments, were deftly carved and sculpted by Kathmandu valley artists.
