Buddhist Eagle like Bird Sculpture, Garuda (Garula) Statue
Garuda, also Garula, is a Buddhist golden feather eagle like bird. According to the Buddhist concept, they belong to eight classes of Aṣṭagatyaḥ, inhuman beings. In Buddhist art, they are depicted sitting and listening to the Buddha's sermons. This magnificent statue was sculpted by our experienced artisans based in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Sculpture was made in the copper body and gilded in pure 24k gold, our artisans have been sculpting the statue artform for generations, and we always make sure the deities are represented accurately as per the Buddhist iconography. Garuda is decipted as part human form and has an eagle-like nose, his wings are golden. He is seen carrying Vishnu supporting Vishnu's feet with his rear hand.

In Buddhism, Garuda is a giant bird of prey. They are sometimes also known as Suparṇa. This means "good wings, good wings". Like the Nagas, they combine the qualities of animals and sacred beings and can be considered the lowest of the Devas. Garuda has kings and cities, and at least some of them have the magical power to transform into human form when they want to deal with humans.
