A very stunning work of art, this lovely Green Tara Bodhisattva statue is expertly hand-carved from copper and adorned with 24K gold gilding. The intricate design of the statue is a testament to the talent and attention to detail that went into its creation. The female bodhisattva can be seen holding a lotus blossom, a symbol of purity, with her left hand in the vitarka mudra and her right hand in the mudra for granting wishes 'Varada mudra,' a gesture of teaching and discussion, symbolizing the transmission of knowledge. Her right leg extended forward suggests her swift and compassionate action to aid her devotees.
