Buddhist Vajrasattva Statue, Tibetan Dorje Sempa Figure
Our studio has created a hand-crafted Buddhist Vajrasattva Statue of copper, using traditional techniques passed down through generations. The statue features intricate designs and an oxidized copper body, with the deity depicted in a seated position on a moon lotus disc, holding a vajra with the right hand and a bell with the left hand, which are silver plated. The expression on the face of the statue is peaceful.
It can be used for various Buddhist rituals and meditation practices.

Vajrasattva is the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
