Black Jambhala Statue, Hand-Carved Buddhist Deity Sculpture
The Buddhist Deity, the black Jambhala statue, is made up of Copper and gilded with pure 24k gold. In front of his chest, the right-hand holds the top of a skull as a blood container, while the left hand holds a mongoose releasing wish-fulfilling diamonds. He has one head and two arms. On his head is a crown of five skulls in the shape of the Five-Buddha crown, with five-colored snakes as bracelets on his feet and neck.
Jambhala is a member of the Gem Family and is the Deity of Wealth. He's been compared to the Hindu god Kubera on occasion. He's also supposed to be an emanation of Vaisnavara, one of the Four Great Divine Kings who protects the world.
